Lennox Head is famous for it’s long sandy beaches and has one of Australia’s biggest warm water surf breaks at Lennox Point. It is an easy 15 minute drive from Ballina airport and only 20 minutes from Byron Bay.

Things to do in Lennox Head

  • Whale watching: From June to November, Lennox Point is an ideal place to watch the annual whale migration.
  • Surfing: Lennox Head has one of Australia’s biggest warm water surf breaks at Lennox Point.
  • Kite Sailing & windsurfing: Lennox Head is famous for it’s long sandy beaches which are often used for kite sailing and windsurfing.
  • Snorkeling: Lennox Reef, otherwise known as ‘the moat’ is a popular snorkelling spot off Seven Mile Beach. It is located roughly 200 metres offshore and is 1.5 kilometers long, covering a 2.5 hectare area.
  • Swimming: Lake Ainsworth is located at the northern end of Lennox Head and is a freshwater lake ideal for swimming.
